its registered head office at Alexandria Egypt, is a new setup replacing
ATTC which has been performing Protection and Indemnity Correspondence
activities since 1997.
Our new firm is the first in Egypt to obtain license from the Egyptian
General Insurance Supervisory Authority to practice Correspondence
Activities.
Our firm has been an official correspondent to L&L for the past 4
years and currently to steamship mutual.
MEPANDI is also handling cases to North of England, other clubs
such as "West of England" and "UK P&I
club".

Our team
Consists of highly qualified, motivated
and long experienced Master mariners, Lawyers and Shipping Specialists.
Our Manager, through his long shipping career, gained a lot of experience
as a Shipowner, Charterer and Agent ...etc, which helped us to view any
problem from many perspectives.
We recruit professional experts from any field of specialty
such as independent Medical Advisers, Agriculturists, Chemists,
Metallurgists ..etc, all of whom have a role to play in repudiating or
settling claims and have proven to be satisfactory over a succession of
cases.
The fees charged by the appointed surveyors and associated lawyers are
always vetted by our claims handlers before they are passed to principals.
As custom claims in Egypt represents a continuous problem to the members,
we have also in our team long experienced specialists in custom
regulations who are able to deal with all imposed custom fines and dues
and other types of fines such as those related to non-complying with
regulations regarding declaration of goods.
In order to minimize legal cost we keep our staff lawyers to minimum, able
to cover daily activities at all court levels. They were selected on basis
of each one's background to cover an important area such as marine
insurance, skilled to overcome claims initiated by few parties
taking advantage of local law complexity.
